Dear Parents and Carers,

The school will be open on Friday 26th 2026

As you will be aware, the current weather conditions are extremely warm, and we are mindful of the impact this can have on our children, particularly those with additional or complex needs.

We will be doing everything we can in school to keep pupils safe and comfortable, including providing shaded areas, encouraging regular drinks, and adapting activities where needed.

However, we also recognise that some children may find the heat especially difficult to manage due to their individual sensory, medical, or emotional needs. If you feel that your child would be more comfortable at home tomorrow, please be assured that we fully understand and support this decision and it won’t be reflected in their attendance. Your child’s wellbeing is our priority.

Please email enquiry@wa.thrive.ac to let us know if your child will not be attending so we can appropriately code the absence.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep you updated with any further guidance.
