Meet the Local Governing Board: TWA

Welcome from the Chair of Governors

From all Governors, WELCOME to The Warwickshire Academy Website. We hope that you find all of the information presented clear and comprehensive.

The Academy Vision and Values, which we fully endorse, are detailed here. The Warwickshire Academy Local Governing Board (LGB) is the guardian of the school Vision. We are working with the Academy Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure that everything they do supports these values.

It is also our role to engage with the SLT to understand what is happening in the school in terms of pupil performance, development and wellbeing, the quality of teaching and learning and effective staff management. We will hold the school to account on behalf of the parents and the Trust.

We strongly consider that the voice of our Parents/Guardians is integral to TWA becoming the school that we all want for the children.  We will work with all stakeholders to encourage positive engagement. The website will help us all to keep in touch and stay informed.

The LGB is well represented by committed Co-opted, and Staff Governors. It is a group that has extensive experience and will grow with the Academy. We are a committed group, dedicated to continuously improving skills to be an effective governing body.

The Current Chair of the Local Governing Body is: John Darch

Andriana has been working as a full-time teacher for nearly 10 years and is excited to be part of the governing body as a staff governor.  Being a part of the school governing body will enable her to support the development of the school and highlight every achievement the children make whilst offering guidance on how we can enhance the learning journey we offer in our school.   Andriana’s passion is to support children and colleagues and encourage them to believe in themselves and to remember, “If you can dream it, you can do it’.
